Do i have what it takes to be an entry level programmer?
You can have a million hours, and it wouldn't matter, if you can't remember any of it.

Also keep in mind, that you won't become an expert by taking a few causes, they can be good to get you started, but they quickly become obsolate, considering the online tutorials and references available today.

One of the most important aspects of programming, is to know how to use the references, and/or follow tutorials if really needed. (it being the online ones, or through books)

The online ones would allways be to prefer, since typing in everything from a book would be very time consuming.
Reply:No, you don't. Lecture does NOT prepare you for programming. You have to take as many "lab" or "project" courses as you can. A summer internship would be nice. Also, keep in mind that good programmers are BORN, not made. You can't learn to become a good programmer any more than you can "learn" how to become an Eric Clapton or John F. Kennedy or Harrison Ford.
