Im I old enough to get a job as a computer programmer?

I am 16 years old and I know C# pretty well. I have family all around the U.S. so I would mind moving somewere to get a better pay. Would anyone hire me if Im only 16? Were in the U.S. programming salary more? What other skills should I learn?

Other than part-time projects for people you might get offered, you'd probably have a hard time being contracted with a company or a Programming-related agency without having a degree, and/or solid experience; a lot of companies also have a policy not to hire people under 18. Believe me, been there done that!
Reply:You are limited with just C++ programming. You need to have a well rounded knowledge of various systems and be flexible to several systems. Depending on where you work you may need mainframe experience.

I suggest getting a degree in programming as most companies that pay the big bucks will require a 2 yr degree at least and many want a Bachelors degree.

Experience is important. There is a lot of competition out there. Why hire a limited source when you can get mutli regions for the same price?

Good luck!
Reply:i don't think starting a career w/out having a college degree is such a great idea

first get a bachelor's degree in computer science from a university (any university in states is fine), do your best to complete your projects with the highest quality

learn as much as you can, and after you graduated think about a well paid job
