Ok, I want to become a programmer for living, where to start?

I'm a current year 12 student hoping to pa sue a carrier in software engineering. I leave school in December, I heard that software companies employ people with experience not graduates, if that's true then university is out of the picture. Where do i start? i am currently learning java and C++

Ok, I want to become a programmer for living, where to start?
Without knowledge no experience, so continue studying...

I am working for 15 years as a programmer, so my suggestion is to be patient and work hard, just because you will need patience on this profession

Bot, Java and C++ are most powerfull programming languages ever!!!

Reply:you will find it very difficult, im a network engineer grad and i have enormous amounts of trouble finding work simply coz i dont have any experience.

you will need to wait for a company that has an opening for grads and then go from there (dont quit whatever you do!)
Reply:Wait...Your 12 years old, or this is your twelth year of school?

If your 12, try and go to a programming summer school, check out a programming book, ext.

If your in 12th grade then try and take classes somewhere like a major summer camp.
