Where is a good place for a freelance programmer to advertise?
Well, it depends.

The term "freelancer" has become interchangeable between part-time (in-house) and remote worker.

If what you seek is in-house, contact a job search agency that specializes in computer consultants / database programmers. There are several. Best to work with one placement officer who will know your value.

If you want to truly be considered a freelancer; working as a consultant, in your own studio, etc, then your references and past performance will be your primary sales tool.

As you have the skills, why not build a program or a widget on your website that will differentiate yourself? Maybe you can even post something on actionscripts.org
