I have a programmer who has never used C# and has reached his limit to debugging/troubleshooting the application he created. He's making it more difficult than easy to use for anyone. Is C# hard? Are there many people who are experienced to do this?
Is C# easy to learn and how long ago did it get released?
C# is much closer to Java than it is to C++. It is one of those "Microsoft innovations" where an existing technology is copied, then named something else with Microsoft trademark.
C# is not something you can learn over night. It is not something you can learn over a week. It is not something you can master in a month. C# programmers are easy to find. Experienced C# programmers may be a bit more difficult to find because it's a fairly recent language.
I agree that if your programmer knows C++ or VB.NET and knows how to use any version of Visual Studio, transition to C# should be easy. If your programmer knows Java and knows how to use eClipse or NetBeans, it shouldn't be too bad.
Reply:c# is the pretty close to c++, not to hard to transition thats if he comes from a c++ background (not like if c++ is hard to learn). came into the programming scene in 2001. but he should be able to pick up c# pretty easily.
