Reply:Java. We can do any thing in Java.


J2ee,j2me etc to the jdk which can be programmed like c but with strictly oject oriented fasion. It's also platform independent. any os that supports JVM can execute Java programs.


So Java is always better.
Reply:There's not really a best compiler when it comes to programming. They all have their pro's and con's. But I prefer java because it virtually runs on any operating system and it is improving at a steady pace. It is not the fastest executing code out there but it does have its pro's of running on any environment as long as you have JVM installed. After that I would say C++ and than Visual basic since VB's applications are tied to Microsoft OS's and cannot be used on any other platform.
Reply:It really depends on what you're going to be developing for, what sort of software. JAVA or C++ are definite ones. Visual BASIC, no, as it's too underpowered and is a higher-level language.
